Ivo loved making these little felt bookmarks for both of his sweet Nanas. He picked out the colors and the stiches and used the foot pedal while I did the needle threading and the steering. He said, "Hey we're doing teamwork Mom."
We tried to think of a little pun to write in the Mother's Day cards, Josh came up with a few:
For a Nana who's really on the "mark"
For a Nana with a special "place" in our lives
And I thought of one too, sort of a good fit for both of our moms: For a special Nana who probably needs this because she can't go more than three or four pages without being interrupted by someone who needs something from her . . . a bookmark for you!!

This Nana says that your bookmarks are WAY better than the old junk mail envelopes I usually use to mark my place in a good read. It is extra special because it was made by my little Ivo.
Another added plus is that this place marker will feel really soft when the book topples over into my face when I fall asleep reading!
Happy Mother's Day to you, and to all the Mom's with whom you share your Blog.
Love and Hugs~

You are SO crafty. When you come visit maybe you can help me break in my "new to me" sewing machine. You're such a great mom! Happy Mother's day and welcome back.

Those are so sweet! I'm slightly disturbed that Ivo is more familiar with a sewing machine than I am, however! :o)

What a great idea! My 4 y.o. is loving the new stitch patterns on my machine, and I think she'd love making these.

Great, I really like the idea for this bookmark. I will try to make this also for my nana. Thank you so much for sharing this and for the idea. Keep it up.

Some people like my advice so much that they frame it upon the wall instead of using it.
