On Friday I mentioned that I had some happy news to share today. The news is that I opened a shop on etsy. Introducing Dream Child Studio, where I am selling my handmade dolls and toys. Here is a look at some of my wares:
Please stop by and pay me a visit if you like. No purchase necessary :)
I put the shop up Sunday and have already made a few sales. So now when asked about my occupation I can officially say that I am a dollmaker. And that, dear reader, is my childhood dream come true. ta-da! Getting the shop up and running was quite a bit more time-consuming than I expected, so I am way behind on catching up with my favorite blogs, and with my friends in real life, and oh yes on the laundry and housekeeping too. But I learned a lot in the process and it's fun to learn new tricks. I've spent far too much time in front of the computer for one day though, so this is the conclusion of today's post.
But before I sign off let me just say a big thank you to everyone who was so supportive to me during Friday's funk (or should I say pity party? yikes!). I can't begin to tell you how touched I was at the time and energy that went into such kind and thoughtful replies. It really went a long way toward pulling me right out of my funk. Sometimes just knowing I am not alone in my parenting challenges can be the most helpful thing of all. And I am heading into a new week with restored energy because of it. So again, I will say thank you :)
