These are the best toddler pants ever! They take fifteen minutes to sew, using recycled clothes (yay!), and they are so soft and comfy they can be used for pj's or for going out and about. I stumbled upon the directions for them at this website, and within a few minutes was rummaging around Josh's drawers for an old t-shirt to start cutting and sewing. Before the weekend was over we had a drawerful (thanks to a *fabulous* Boys and Girls Club rummage sale featuring clothing for $2 a bag--where I also found a 1969 Fisher Price Little People Camp Bus for ten cents, ok back on topic sorry). I was also gifted with some lovely old t-shirts from my mom, whose "old" t-shirts still look new due to her five-step laundry process (versus my dump-everything-together-and-pray technique). So now that the messy season is well upon us, and Ivo is still having the occasional tinkle accident to boot, we are completely covered. And looking quite cute as it were.

Now Carl knows why I am sometimes so tired.....I spend all my time on my five-step laundry process!!!!!
Seriously, the pants are so cute....and I love the recycled clothing approach. It reminds me that I need to get busy with my vintage recycled wool. But, it is HOT today,so maybe I will wait for a cooler day.
Hope the storms didn't get you....they are on the way here. We have secured everything for 70 mile an hour winds (possible), but I am not sure about baseball size hail--Yikes!
Love and Hugs,
Mom

Those pants are cute, and they look really comfortable- I think I want some for myself! I really need to learn how to sew...
